Back in North Vancouver

I’ve written my first personal post here already, so I’m going to jump right into another one.
If you read my last post, you’ll note I just did one of the most amazing things a web designer can do: I took a vacation! Well actually, it was my honeymoon – nonetheless, taking a good solid break is something I highly recommend.
The time away from my computer, after often spending more than 8-10 hours a day on it, was a great way to gain a fresh perspective, not to mention give my eyes, back and body a break.
Of course, it’s also good to be back at home in North Vancouver. There’s snow on the mountains and the skiing, so I hear, is great. There’s also ample amounts of dry mountain bike trails, so the riding, I can honestly verify, is awesome.
What a scene to come back to – snow, lush rain forest, and the cold, sparkling pacific ocean, especially after spending two weeks in the wonderful dessert town of Tucson, Arizona.
What was not so much fun to come back to, though, was the mound of emails clogging my inbox. However, one of the emails to arrive was a humbling request by the kind folks over at mcville.net for an interview. It seems they’re on a rampage these days to bring the many faces of the web standards world to the people. Good on em’!
Be sure to check out my interview, if not to find out a little more about me, but to see me posing as a tough guy in the portrait I sent them.
Other than a mound of emails, some exciting projects (which you’ll hear more about later), and the seemingly on going saga of John Oxton coming and going from the blogging world as he pleases (and so he should!), the only other news I can report here is that I am now a married man, sorry ladies ;-). Yep, I got my speech done, said my vows, and married the most wonderful person I could ever have imagined.
Up next: a photo montage of the animals living at the San Diego Zoo, and some other excellent shots from my honeymoon.
Peace.
